The Bruins obviously felt pretty fortunate that defenseman Dougie Hamilton fell to them at the No. 9 pick in the NHL draft. Apparently, the feeling is mutual.

Hamilton met with the media shortly after the B’s drafted him, and the 18-year-old blueliner made it pretty clear that he’s excited to be wearing black and gold.

He visited the city during the playoffs and had nothing but good things to say about the team, its fans and the atmosphere that comes with Bruins hockey.
