The Dallas Mavericks clinched the NBA title Sunday night in Miami, and the game received the best ratings for a Finals Game 6 since 2000.

According to ESPN.com, Game 6 earned a 15.0 overnight rating, which is the best rating the Association has seen since 2000, when the Lakers won their first of three straight championships with a win over the Indiana Pacers.

The arrival of LeBron James and Chris Bosh in Miami must have had a great effect on ratings for a Finals Game 6 between these two teams, as ratings were up 35 percent from Game 6 of the 2006 Finals. Ratings also saw a 22 percent increase from last year's Game 6 between the Celtics and the Lakers.
