Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final in Boston will be one of the toughest tickets the city has seen in years, with online ticket prices starting at upward of $800.

There are those willing to pay this price, however, and state officials are warning potential buyers to take the necessary steps to ensure that their tickets are genuine, according to the Boston Business Journal.

The Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation released a statement Friday morning advising fans to purchase tickets only through reputable dealers and avoid tickets sold on eBay or Craigslist, as those sites offer no guarantees of legitimacy.

With the prevalence of online print-at-home ticketing, it is much easier to create counterfeit tickets, as one can simply print off and sell multiple copies of the same ticket.

Game 6 will be a potential series-clincher for whichever team wins Game 5 on Friday night in Vancouver.
