Blackhawks Sign Forward Dan Carcillo to One-Year Contract

The Chicago Blackhawks just got a little bit tougher.

The team announced that they have signed former Flyers forward Dan Carcillo to a one-year deal. According to TSN's Bob McKenzie, the deal is worth $775,000.

Carcillo played in just 57 games in 2010-11, scoring four goals and adding two assists. Even in just under 60 games, though, Carcillo was able to register 80 hits and served 127 penalty minutes.

His best season came in 2007-08 as a member of the Phoenix Coyotes when he had 13-11-24 totals with a league-leading 324 PIMs in just 57 games.
