Report: Rangers Acquire Reliever Koji Uehara From Balitmore for Chris Davis, Tommy Hunter

The Rangers added some bullpen depth by acquiring Koji Uehara from Balitmore, Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun reports.

Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun tweeted that the Rangers were shipping out Chris Davis and Tommy Hunter for the reliever.

This year, Uehara has appeared in 43 games for the Orioles, recording a 1.72 ERA. In his first season in 2009, Uehara started 12 games and finished with a 4.05 ERA. In 2010, Uehara appeared in 43 games and lowered his ERA to 2.86.

Davis, who is in his fourth major league season, has three home runs, six RBIs and a .250 batting average through 27 games.

Hunter has only made eight appearances this season, but he went 13-4 with a 3.73 ERA in 2010. The 25-year-old has a 2.93 ERA this season.
