Mike Aviles' trip around the diamond continues Saturday with a start at third base, batting in the ninth position in the Red Sox' batting order against the Oakland A's.

Aside from Aviles, who played his sixth position since joining the Red Sox when he started in left field Friday, and Kevin Youkilis, who continues to recover from back soreness, the Boston lineup is fairly standard for the first game of a doubleheader.

Jacoby Ellsbury leads off, followed by Marco Scutaro, with Adrian Gonzalez batting third. Dustin Pedroia remains in the cleanup spot, as he has for much of Youkilis' absence, with designated hitter David Ortiz behind him.

With Carl Crawford, Josh Reddick and Jason Varitek following Ortiz, the Red Sox will send four straight left-handed swingers to the plate against Oakland righty Guillermo Moscoso.

After putting up 15 runs on Friday, the A's did some minor tinkering with their lineup for Saturday's early game. Jemile Weeks leads off again, but Coco Crisp moves from the No. 2 to No. 3 against Sox lefty Jon Lester. Conor Jackson replaces Hideki Matsui in left field and Ryan Sweeney takes over for David DeJesus in right. Kurt Suzuki calls the game behind the plate.

As a reminder, this is the first game of a split doubleheader Saturday at Fenway Park. Sunday's game was rescheduled to Saturday night in advance of Hurricane Irene, which is making its way up the East Coast.

First pitch for Game 1 is scheduled for noon.
