After a day of rest, the Red Sox are ready to stay up late.
Stay up with them, as the Sox take on the Mariners on Friday night. NESN's pregame coverage begins at 9 p.m., as John Lackey looks to have a repeat performance of his start in Seattle last July. In that start, he gave up just two hits and one run over eight innings.
He'll be opposed by rookie Blake Beavan, who's 3-2 with a 2.83 ERA in six starts. One of those two losses came against Boston on July 23.
