Javaris Crittenton Free on $230,000 Bail Following August Murder Charge

Ex-NBA player Javaris Crittenton is free.

The former Washington Wizards player, accused of killing a 22-year-old in August during a drive-by shooting, was released on $230,000 bail bond at 12:15 a.m. Wednesday by Fulton County Magistrate Judge Karen Woodson, according to The Associated Press.

Crittenton was allowed to go free after testimonies from the former player's friends and coaches, which included his former Georgia Tech coach Paul Hewitt, who co-signed the bond.

Twenty-two year-old Julian Jones was shot and killed while walking in Atlanta. According to the report, the shots were aimed at someone walking with Jones.
