Jim Leyland Vows to Wear Same Underwear, Socks Until Tigers' Win Streak Ends Jim Leyland is known across the baseball world as an old-fashioned baseball man. He's proving that even further in his current attempt to keep a winning streak alive.

In fact, Leyland pledges that he'll continue to wear the same underwear and socks until his club's recent winning streak comes to an end, according to MLive.com (via Larry Brown Sports).

"I will wear these underwear until we lose," Leyland said. "I can tell you that right now. And they will not be washed. And I don't give a [expletive] who knows it."

Well then. The 66-year-old manager also laid down the law in regards to Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmackel, issuing a threat should Schmackel happen to place Leyland's drawers in the wash.

"I told Schmackel if somebody threw them out, that would be the end."

The AL Central-leading Tigers put their 12-game winning streak on the line late Thursday night when they take on Oakland.
