Former Patriots defensive tackle Ty Warren reportedly will not play football this season after undergoing surgery to repair his partially torn right triceps.

After initially reporting Warren would not be placed on injured reserve, Denver Post Broncos beat reporter Mike Klis tweeted Saturday that Warren had been placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

Warren had surgery Tuesday morning, and although normal recovery time for such an injury is three to six months, the team has hoped his recovery could be on the shorter end since it was not a complete tear, Klis reported.

Running back Jeremiah Johnson was activated for Sunday's game against the Bengals and placed on the 53-man roster.
