Ndamukong Suh‘s actions on Thanksgiving attracted the attention of a national audience, including one of his sponsors.
Omaha Steaks, which has an endorsement deal with Suh, issued a statement on Tuesday in which it said it was keeping Suh as a spokesman, according to the Detroit Free Press.
“The recent actions of our tailgating spokesman, Ndamukong Suh, are of great concern to us at Omaha Steaks,” the statement reads. “While we certainly do not condone poor behavior, we have never known Suh to be mean-spirited, and he has always demonstrated integrity in all our dealings with him.
“We continue to closely monitor and evaluate the situation and we will take action accordingly, if we deem it necessary. For now it is business as usual.”
Suh was suspended two games without pay for shoving Packers offensive lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith‘s head into the turf and stomping on Dietrich-Smith during a game on Thanksgiving.
Suh has appealed the suspension, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
