Year after year, Boise State has been passed over by the BCS in favor of power conference schools. Finally, head coach Chris Petersen has had enough and has stopped being polite about what he thinks of college football's current postseason format.

"The whole thing needs to be changed, there's no question about it," Petersen told the Idaho Statesman. "I think [change] is coming, I really do.

Boise State finished this season 11-1 and was ranked No. 7 in the final BCS standings. Yet they find themselves left out of a BCS bowl, as do three other teams that finished ranked in the top 10: Arkansas, Kansas State and South Carolina.

"Everybody is just very tired of the BCS," Petersen said. "I think that's the bottom line. Everybody is frustrated. Everybody doesn't really know what to do anymore. It doesn't make sense to anybody. I don't think anybody is happy anywhere.

"I haven't heard anybody say, 'This is pretty good.' Everybody goes, 'This is really bad.'"

Petersen suggests that college football create a committee to select teams for two semifinal games, similar to how college basketball chooses teams to play for the national championship. He also admits that he probably shouldn't be allowed to vote in the USA Today coaches poll, because he tried to vote in Boise State's best interest.

But after how his Broncos have been snubbed in the past, can you blame him?
