Marian Gaborik had a chance to put away a pesky Phoenix Coyotes team on Tuesday night in New York. The Rangers goal-scorer was given a penalty shot, in overtime no less, with a chance to win the game.

Unfortunately for him, however, Mike Smith was in net for Phoenix. And in a night full of penalty shots, Smith made what some will likely call the save of the year, saving the game for the moment for the Coyotes.

Gaborik got the last laugh, however. In the shootout, the sniper was able to beat Smith to prolong the shootout, setting up the eventual game-winner for Derek Stepan and the Rangers.

Regardless, there's no denying the incredibleness that was the overtime save. After all, a penalty shot in overtime only happens "like once every 10 years." Isn't that right, Adam Sandler?

Anyway, check out Smith's incredible stick save below.
