Here’s a tip for any guy planning to propose on the JumboTron at a sporting event: Be really, really sure she will say “yes.”
If not, then in the stands at an event attended by thousands of people probably isn’t the ideal venue to pop the question.
Try a nice, quiet dinner at a romantic restaurant, preferably where the lights are dim and at a table in a corner. That way, fewer people will notice if she excuses herself and rushes out of the building. Or invite her over and drop to one knee in the privacy of your living room; her response will just be between you and your cat, who won’t say anything but will just give a contemptuous stare that says, “You are such a loser.”
Unfortunately, one UCLA fan didn’t take any of this into account before proposing to his female companion when the “Mistletoe Cam” settled on them at a game last week.
