Report: Alex Rodriguez Brings Cooler of His Own Food to Restaurants to Help Stick to DietAlex Rodriguez makes it too easy sometimes.

The Yankees third baseman, who has a habit of making headlines for doing things other than driving in runs and fielding ground balls, is at it again with another quirky habit of his.

The New York Post reports that Rodriguez has been bringing his own food to restaurants as of late in order to watch his diet with spring training approaching.  According to the Post, Rodriguez brings a cooler of his own food to restaurants to help stay with a high-protein diet that he's currently on.

The report also cites a source who saw Rodriguez, at a restaurant in Miami with girlfriend Torrie Wilson, ask the waitress to bring his food to the kitchen and heat it up.

The report did not specify, however, if this new diet means Rodriguez must stay away from popcorn, which could be a very difficult proposition for the slugger.

Yankees position players are set to report to camp on Feb. 24.
