Knicks Coach Mike Woodson’s Eyebrows Disappeared Two Years Ago After Barber Mishap

Good old Twitter. Thanks to the wonder of social media, NBA fans were able to learn the answer to the mystery of why Mike Woodson‘s eyebrows disappeared two years ago when he was coaching the Hawks.

When Woodson was promoted to be the Knicks head coach this season, close observers were puzzled to see Woodson’s eyebrows had made a return. Michael Cunningham, the Atlanta Hawks beat writer for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, was on the case when Sports Illustrated’s Zach Lowe pondered the mystery on Twitter.

The explanation was disappointing. Woodson did not lose a bet over whether Miranda Cosgrove would win a 2010 Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award, nor did he have his eyebrows singed off while rescuing a family of wombats from a blazing fire. Woodson’s barber just had a slip of the hand and Woodson decided to shave off his eyebrows entirely. You know, because he didn’t want to look ridiculous.

Check out the explanation in the tweet below.
