Mike Aviles Leads Off for Red Sox As They Take on Rays in Fort Myers

FORT MYERS, Fla. —  Newly crowned starting shortstop Mike Aviles will be in the leadoff spot for the Red Sox against the Rays on Tuesday afternoon in Fort Myers.

Aviles has been successful at the plate this spring, hitting .333 aided by seven doubles.

He and the rest of a Boston lineup that features a good amount of regulars will get a look at Fernando Rodney, who was tabbed today's starter over James Shields, who was originally slated to get the ball. Josh Beckett will go for the Sox.
