Former Red Sox general manager and current Orioles executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette made one thing clear on Thursday afternoon: his O’s are for real this season.

Duquette is “in it to win it” this summer and, if in contention at the trade deadline, the baseball world will be seeing something for the first time in a long time: The Orioles being buyers, not sellers.
