Security Guard Foils Dutch Soccer Fan's Attempt to Stop German Blitzkrieg (Video)Germany is on the ascendancy and Europe is nervous about it. Its national team is the favorite to win the the 2012 UEFA European Championships, and 15 other countries are trying to figure out how to stop “Die Mannschaft.”

After one game, Germany is tied with Denmark atop Group B — the so-called “Group of Death.” It meets the Netherlands on Wednesday. If the Germans win, the Dutch will be eliminated from a tournament some had picked it to win.

Two fans from the Netherlands came up with an ingenious scheme to stop the German approach. They tried to prevent Germany from leaving its practice facility by putting a boot on the German bus. We’re not talking about one of those wooden, Dutch clogs here. This is the boot you get when you don’t pay parking tickets.

One fan snuck through the gates, while the other handed him the bright orange clamp (while simultaneously filming the operation). Just before the saboteur could attach the boot, security spotted him. He got on his proverbial bike and high-tailed it out of there.
