After the Los Angeles Kings’ thrilling win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday night in Game 7 of the Western Conference finals, fans will have to wait until Wednesday for the Stanley Cup Final to begin.

In the Twitter universe, though, the series has already begun.

Shortly after its team’s wild overtime win, the Kings’ official Twitter account — which is anything but shy — sent out an awesome picture celebrating the victory.

For those of you who didn’t grow up in the ’90s, that’s Kevin McAllister — played by Macaulay Culkin — from the classic “Home Alone” movies making the most of his parent-free vacation.

As the New York Rangers’ Twitter account kindly pointed out, however, that photo was taken from the second “Home Alone” film, which has a rather inauspicious title.

Score one for the Blueshirts.

It will be a long two-day wait for what should be an exciting series between two “underdog” opponents, but a healthy Twitter battle and the creative current homepage of the Kings’ team website should be plenty to tide us over.
