Billy HorschelMost wives would be furious with their husbands if they missed the birth of their child.

Not Billy Horschel’s wife, Brittany.

The golfer’s wife is expecting a child soon, but Billy won’t be there to see the birth if it happens this weekend because he’ll be vying for a $10 million bonus at the Tour Championship.

Horschel’s wife isn’t expecting for another two weeks, but if the baby comes early, the family has already made it a priority that the financial benefits that come with Horschel winning the tournament are pretty important.

“I will just keep playing, because $10 million is a lot of money and I’m not going to pass that by,” Horschel said, via Golf.com.

Horschel does plan on making a quick pit stop to his home in Florida, which is a quick flight from the tournament’s location in Atlanta, if the baby is born this weekend. However, he’ll immediately return to the tournament to keep playing.

Entering the Tour Championship, Herschel is on a roll. He finished second at the Deutsche Bank Championship, won the BMW Championship and currently is in first place after the first day at the Tour Championship.
