When you think of Mike Napoli, the first thing that probably comes to mind is his beard.

The first baseman’s glorious scruff helped the Boston Red Sox on their 2013 World Series run and was practically a Boston landmark.

Notice I said “was.”

That’s because Napoli’s facial hair is no more, and he debuted his smooth mug in the dugout during Boston’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays, where he was sidelined with nagging finger and toe injuries.

Even Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy were speechless. Hopefully, Napoli was just looking to start over for 2015 like the rest of the team.
