BOSTON — The Bruins dominated the Western Conference last season with an 18-4-6 record, which included an 11-3-0 mark against the Pacific Division.

Boston will play its first game against a Pacific Division opponent Tuesday night when it welcomes Joe Thornton and the San Jose Sharks to the TD Garden.

The B’s won both games against the Sharks last season. David Krejci’s buzzer-beating goal was the difference in the game played in Boston back in October of 2013. The Bruins are 0-1-0 against the West in 2014-15 following a 2-1 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Oct. 13.
