Kanye West Compares Grammys, Beyonce To Marshawn Lynch Not Getting Ball

It’s about darn time somebody compared Beast Mode and Sasha Fierce.

Kanye West dropped one heck of a sports analogy during an appearance on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show Wednesday morning, as the rapper is still in damage-control mode three days removed from Sunday’s Grammys. West created some controversy when he fake-rushed the stage during Beck’s acceptance speech for “Album of the Year.” West followed up the awkward moment that stirred up all sorts of déjà vu by stating after the show that Beck should’ve given the award to Beyoncé.

West issued an apology on Seacrest’s show, but he also attempted to clarify what went down by bringing up Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch and the final play of Super Bowl XLIX.

“You know, it’s like people take the Grammys for granted in a way because of the commercials, because a lot of the musicians are very rich and everything, but this is our Super Bowl,” West explained. “You know, and someone’s got to be mad that Marshawn didn’t get the ball.”

For those keeping score at home, this would make Beck the artist equivalent of Malcolm Butler.

That’s a solid Grammys interception, Beck, and not a bad line, Kanye. But hopefully the explanation prompts New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner to go on another Twitter rant.
