Audie Bridges’ day temporarily got worse. Then it got a whole lot better.
Bridges, who lives in Wakefield, Mass., recently was the victim of an unfortunate accident when his car was sideswiped near his home. The good news? The driver pulled a U-turn to go back and apologize. The even better news? That driver was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Johnson, who’s in the Boston suburb filming a movie, said via Instagram he was blasting music on his way to the set when he hit Bridges’ car.
“I’m singing away like I’m having a one man party in my truck,” Johnson wrote. “Then I hear a loud BANG. What the hell..? Look in my rear view and see I sideswiped another pick up that was parked in the street and destroyed the side mirror.”
Bridges, as you might imagine, was able to forgive and forget upon seeing the former WWE star, who agreed to pay for any damage he caused. In fact, the Wakefield resident admitted the accident was somewhat of a blessing in disguise, as it allowed him to make a new friend in The Rock.
“Here he is on my street, and he hit my car, which was kind of an honor,” Bridges jokingly told WHDH-TV. “Go ahead, hit it as much as you want.”
