Julian Edelman isn’t new to the art of slinging the pigskin — he was a quarterback in college — and the 29-year-old relived his glory days Tuesday at a Massachusetts General Hospital event.
U.S. News and World Report named Mass General the top hospital in America, and the New England Patriots wide receiver made a surprise guest appearance at Tuesday’s award ceremony.
After being announced, Edelman stood up and tossed a sneaky spiral to Dr. Peter Slavin on stage. [tweet https://twitter.com/MassGeneralNews/status/623537539517927425 align=’center’]
Nice hands, Doc. It definitely would have been nice to see some sort of touchdown celebration, though.
Edelman seemed fairly pleased with his efforts, too. [tweet https://twitter.com/Edelman11/status/623591955633717248 align=’center’]
If Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game Deflategate suspension isn’t revoked, maybe the team should give Edelman a look. Not even Brady has thrown a perfect spiral to a doctor on a podium.
Like Brady, Edelman is a heck of a guy, too. He took some time Tuesday to visit with patients. [tweet https://twitter.com/mghfc/status/623564852938833920 align=’center’]
