Alvaro Negredo really wants to play on the big stage.

Negredo scored a fantastic goal for Valencia on Tuesday to put his team into the UEFA Champions League group stage at Monaco’s expense. Negredo needed just four minutes to open an insurmountable lead in the two-game series with the most delicate of chips.

Negredo earned the nickname “the Beast” during his year-long stint at Manchester City, but this goal had to be one of his beauties.

Negredo’s chip gave Valencia a 4-1 lead on aggregate score in the second leg of its Champions League qualifier. Monaco replied with two goals to win the game 2-1, but Valencia progresses to European soccer’s elite competition with the 4-3 aggregate win.
