Florida announced Wednesday that it had suspended defensive back Deiondre Porter indefinitely, and now there seems to be a reason why.

Gainesville police say Porter was arrested Wednesday morning on charges of felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and felony shooting into or throwing deadly missiles into dwellings, per Deadspin. The charges stem from an incident in which Porter allegedly held a gun to his pregnant girlfriend’s head and later shot in her direction.

The incident happened on Sept. 29, according to police, and occurred at the girlfriend’s apartment. Porter and his girlfriend, who was 10 weeks pregnant at the time, allegedly had two different fights after he accused her of cheating on him with a teammate.

The first fight happened around 2:15 a.m., and the victim’s sworn complaint says Porter held a gun to her head and “continued to demand that the victim tell the truth.” The second fight happened around five hours later, when Porter allegedly shot in his girlfriend’s direction and hit the wall behind her. Porter left after that.

Porter was held on $160,000 bond.
