Tuukka Rask is one tough customer.

The Boston Bruins goaltender found himself on the wrong end of a hit from teammate Matt Beleskey during overtime of Wednesday’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Edmonton Oilers.

Immediately after making a save on Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Rask ended up flat on his back after a check from Beleskey sent Nugent-Hopkins careening directly into the goal — and the goalie.

Rask remained motionless for several moments after absorbing the blow, then was very slow in getting to his feet. He remained in the game, however, and immediately helped kill off a power play (Beleskey was called for interference on the play) to send the game to a shootout.

“I was a little shaken up there,” he told reporters after the game, via The Boston Globe. “Just cracked my neck. Free chiropractor, I guess.”

Rask finished with 34 saves in a losing effort.
