Bill Belichick Channels Terrell Owens: Tom Brady Is ‘My Quarterback’

by

Mar 22, 2016

Bill Belichick didn’t say it with the same theatrics, but the New England Patriots head coach (probably) inadvertently quoted Terrell Owens when talking about Tom Brady.

Belichick was asked about the contract extension that will keep Brady with the Patriots through 2019 on Tuesday at the NFL Annual Meeting coaches breakfast.

“I’ve said many times there’s no quarterback I’d rather have than Tom Brady,” Belichick said to the media. “That’s my quarterback, so I’ll stand by that.”

Unlike TO, there were no sniffles, tears or sunglasses when Belichick delivered the “that’s my quarterback” line. There was only monotony and sips of water.
