Isaiah Thomas plays with a massive chip on his shoulder and loves to use his haters as motivation.

But the Boston Celtics point guard isn’t above a little self-deprecating humor.

After dropping 30 points in Boston’s blowout win over the Portland Trail Blazers, Thomas fired up Twitter late Wednesday night and caught wind of one of the biggest stories of the day: astronaut Scott Kelly’s return to Earth after a year in space.

We’re glad the All-Star guard saw this news, because his reaction to one fact about Kelly’s space voyage was priceless.

Thomas, of course, is generously listed at 5-foot-9 and wouldn’t mind getting a few inches taller. But given how the 27-year-old has been playing this season — he’s averaging a team-high 21.6 points and 6.7 assists per game — we’d imagine Celtics fans would prefer if he remains on this planet for a while.
