Skip Bayless Compares Tom Brady To Tim Duncan After Patriots Beat Broncos

Tom Brady did what he needed to do.

Brady completed just 16 of 32 passes for 188 yards and no touchdowns Sunday as the New England Patriots defeated the Denver Broncos 16-3. It was by no means a flashy performance by the Patriots quarterback, but the end result — an AFC East-clinching victory — was exactly what New England was hoping for when it traveled to Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

For Skip Bayless, that’s all that really matters.

Bayless has been very supportive of the Patriots this season on FS1’s “Undisputed,” and he continued his praise Monday by comparing Brady’s performance against the Broncos to performances provided over the years by NBA legend Tim Duncan, who won five championships with the San Antonio Spurs.

In short, Brady took care of business against a very good Denver defense, even though his numbers don’t jump off the page. Duncan, who spent many years playing alongside the likes of Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, also had a knack for doing whatever it took to win over the course of his 19-year career.
