Here’s How Red Sox Outfield Celebrated Boston’s First Win Of 2018 Season

The Boston Red Sox outfielders apparently have parted ways with their dancing shoes.

Mookie Betts and Co. became somewhat of a cultural phenomenon the past two seasons, as their celebratory dancing after Red Sox victories earned the “Win, Dance, Repeat” moniker and turned into one of the more entertaining sights in Major League Baseball.

But as the old saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

Boston logged its first win of the 2018 season Friday night with a 1-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field. And after closer Craig Kimbrel struck out the side to preserve the win in Game 2 of the four-game set, Betts, Jackie Bradley Jr. and Andrew Benintendi met in center field for a simple fist pump. There was no Michael Jackson toe tap, no ski jump or anything of the sort.

While Red Sox fans might be sad about the dance routines being retired, there’s no doubt that winning and repeating were the two most important factors of the old slogan.
