Mookie Betts Injury: No Structural Knee Damage; Red Sox Star Could Miss A Few Days

The Boston Red Sox can take a sigh of relief.

An MRI on Saturday revealed no structural damage to outfielder Mookie Betts’ knee, according to Red Sox manager John Farrell.

Betts, Boston’s 23-year-old All-Star, left Friday’s game in the fifth inning with knee soreness and had trouble running at full speed. He’s out of the lineup Saturday against the Minnesota Twins.

Both Betts and Farrell discussed the injury, the fallout and a timeline for the outfielder’s return in the video from NESN’s “Red Sox Gameday Live” above.
