Former Patriots defensive coordinator Dean Pees has been hired by the Baltimore Ravens as the linebackers coach, a league source told Pro Football Talk.
Last week, the Denver Post reported that Pees was expected to reunite with Josh McDaniels and become the Broncos’ defensive coordinator. A few days later, though, Pro Football Talk reported that wasn’t going to happen because Pees had agreed to coach elsewhere.
Pees announced he was leaving the Patriots on Jan. 14 after spending four seasons as defensive coordinator under head coach Bill Belichick. Prior to that, he coached the New England linebackers for two seasons in 2004-05.
