After being beaten out by Liverpool for Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson, Sir Alex Ferguson returned the favor on Wednesday, signing Liverpool target Phil Jones of the Blackburn Rovers.
The £16 million deal comes just one month after the 19-year-old versatile defender signed a five-year deal to stay at Ewood Park, according to the Guardian.
Jones, who is part of England's Under-21 squad heading to Denmark for the European Championships, made his Premier League debut in 2010.
