Tim Thomas had a season of mesmerizing saves. Perhaps none were better than the save the Vezina winner showed Tampa Bay's Steve Downie during a 3-1 Bruins win in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Final.
Thomas stole the show as he sprawled across the crease just in time to get his stick to the post and rob Downie of what looked like a no-doubt goal. It was one of 33 saves that Thomas made in the winning effort, paving the way for the Bruins to eventually win the series in seven games.
