Light could soon become an NFL analyst for ESPN, following in the footsteps of many other players, including former teammates Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi.
"I'm working with ESPN right now trying to finalize a contract," Light told the Dayton Daily News. "I want to see how that goes. Football has been a big part of my life — for the majority of my life — and the TV stuff would help me keep one foot in the door of that world and have some fun with it, too."
Light retired earlier this offseason, capping off what was a very successful career for the Patriots tackle. He played a role in all three of New England's Super Bowl victories and was selected to four Pro Bowls during his career before hanging up the cleats.
The 34-year-old said that he is looking for a new challenge, and the television gig could be that challenge.
