The Heat sure do know how to rub it in.
The reigning NBA champions will raise their banner and receive their rings in a pregame ceremony Oct. 30, shortly before opening the season with a game against the Celtics, according to a report in the Sun-Sentinel.
The Celtics pushed the Heat to seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals before Miami trounced the Oklahoma City Thunder in five games in the NBA Finals. In addition to being the first matchup between the teams since Game 7 of the conference Finals in June, the game will also mark the first time Ray Allen will take on his former team.
The Heat and Thunder will play a rematch of the Finals on Christmas Day, according to the report.
