The Jets will have to play the rest of the season without their best player — and arguably the best defensive player in football.
Head coach Rex Ryan announced Monday that cornerback Darrelle Revis needs surgery and will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL that he suffered on Sunday afternoon in Miami.
"Darrelle's such a great player and a great teammate," Ryan said, according to the team's Twitter page. We're going to lose that presence. We have to overcome that."
The All-Pro cornerback went down with the injury in the third quarter while pursuing Daniel Thomas but his knee appeared to buckle before engaging any other players.
