Merrimack Feeling Confident, Ready to Make Leap After Enjoying National Success

After a 13-9-5 record in the Hockey East last season, the Merrimack Warriors are ready for a championship run.

Merrimack has been able to escape the shadow of in-state rivals and Hockey East foes Boston University and Boston College. With another winning season, Merrimack is ready to step into the spotlight of the Hockey East and compete for the league title.

The Warriors graduated their two leading scorers this past offseason, so Merrimack's offense will likely be led by junior Mike Collins. A gaping hole has also been left between the pipes, as Joe Cannata has also moved on.

Check out the video above to hear head coach Mark Dennehy speak about his team and the upcoming season.
