Ten LSU football players have at least one enemy in the school’s athletic department.
According to BlackSportsOnline.com, a note left outside of the LSU athletic department offices read:
“Attention NFL Scouts:
‘The following athletes miss workouts and always have an excuse. These men lack the self discipline and the motivation to take care of their responsibilities. I will not answer questions regarding their performance numbers or character as they care only about themselves.”
The names listed were redshirt freshman offensive tackle Jonah Austin, sophomore guard La’el Collins, junior wide receiver James Wright, junior running back Spencer Ware, sophomore defensive tackle Anthony Johnson, sophomore safety Micah Eugene, freshman cornerback Dwayne Thomas, junior cornerback Tharold Simon, freshman linebacker Kwon Alexander and junior defensive end Sam Montgomery. Only Wright, Ware, Simon and Montgomery are NFL draft eligible. Montgomery is the best prospect of the bunch — he’s getting first-round hype by draft analysts. He has six sacks on the season.
There’s no word on who left the note outside of the office, but many of the above players are starters on the LSU squad, including Simon, Montgomery, Ware, Collins, Wright and Johnson. LSU is 9-2 on the season after a last-second victory over Ole Miss.
