The injury occurred in the fourth quarter, as the second overall pick in last year’s draft attempted to block Toney Douglas’ layup attempt. Taylor, who was going up for the rebound, made contact to the back of Kidd-Gilchrist’s head with his hip.
Kidd-Gilchrist remained on the ground for several minutes before being taken to Memorial-Hermann Hospital in Houston, but Bobcats broadcasters noted that he did show signs of movement.
Bobcats broadcasters said Kidd-Gilchrist had movement. He was on the ground about 5 minutes. Neck immobolized before leaving on a stretcher.—
