Manny Ramirez‘s first home run since returning to American professional baseball Tuesday night looked quite literally like something out of a video game.
It looked like someone had fired up a baseball video game, decided to tinker with Ramirez’s look (cut those dreads, grab the Bic and go bald), team (hit L2 and land on Texas’ Triple-A affiliate, Round Rock Express) tinker with the Express’ uniform (go with the throwbacks, high socks) and go to work. The grainy footage of the Ramirez blast only added to the virtual feel.
Of course, it was much more than that, as Ramirez continued his path back to the bigs with his first home run since debuting with Round Rock over the weekend.
Ramirez went 2-for-4 with a walk, the home run and three RBIs on Tuesday night, and he’s now 3-for-10 since joining the club Sunday. The home run came off of Wade LeBlanc, who does have 95 games of major league experience, including appearing in 16 games this season before being sent down.
See the homer below.
Dustin Pedroia is not as tall as David Ortiz. Here is photographic proof.
You should probably take that up with the guys doing PEDs…
All about to be buried with speculation, moral crusading, lying and everything else that comes with PED drama. It's just a shame.—
