After meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks in consecutive days, Andrew Bynum will be joining the Cavs, according to ESPN.com
According to sources, Bynum’s contract is a two-year, incentive laden deal that could be worth up to $24 million. The Cavs have an option for the 2013-14 season worth $12.5 million.
Plagued by knee injuries throughout his career, the center sat out the entire 2012-2013 season with the Philadelphia 76ers. But in 2011-12, the two-time NBA champion posted impressive numbers with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bynum averaged 18.7 points and 11.8 rebounds under Mike Brown, whom he will be reunited with in Cleveland.
The Cavaliers are hopeful that Bynum will be ready for training camp.
