Dustin Pedroia, Jonny Gomes and Jarrod Saltalamacchia Take In Blue Jays Game on Day Off (Photo)

The Red Sox finished a stretch of 17 games in 17 days Sunday in Kansas City with a loss to the Royals. They then boarded a plane and flew to Toronto where they have the day off on Monday before starting a series with the Blue Jays Tuesday. It goes without saying that it was a good chance for the Sox to get away from baseball for a day.

One trio of Red Sox, however, decided to use their day off to get out to the ballpark and take in a game from the other side of the white lines. Dustin Pedroia, Jonny Gomes and Jarrod Saltalamacchia were at Rogers Centre on Monday afternoon for the Blue Jays-Athletics game. They obviously have some pretty good connections, and that was evident by their ¬†seats. The three Sox sat right behind home plate and were easy to spot during the game’s telecast.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
