New England Patriots rookie defensive tackle Dominique Easley tore his right ACL fewer than eight months ago, but he’s already back on the practice field.
Easley has been participating in Patriots rookie practices on a limited basis, a source told the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe on Thursday. Easley said Monday that his target date to get back on the field was “as soon as possible.”
The Patriots selected Easley No. 29 overall in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft last Thursday. Easley tore his right ACL on September 30 during a Florida Gators practice after tearing his left ACL in November 2011.
Patriots organized team activities begin on May 27, and mandatory minicamp runs from June 17 to 19. Patriots training camp is expected to begin on July 24.
