Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green exited Sunday’s win over the Atlanta Falcons with a toe injury early in the first quarter, but reports suggest he will not miss significant time.

A postgame MRI on Green’s toe came back negative, according to Bengals.com, and the wideout is expected to return to action in time for the Bengals’ Week 5 matchup with the New England Patriots. That return might even come sooner, as Green told ESPN’s Bob Holtzman after the game that he hopes to play this Sunday, when Cincinnati hosts the Tennessee Titans.

Green was limited in practice last week with a foot injury and listed as probable to play against the Falcons. He left the game during the Bengals’ first offensive series and did not record a catch for the first time in 49 career games.

The fourth-year receiver was just one entry on a long list of NFL injuries Sunday, joining Robert Griffin III, Knowshon Moreno, Jamaal Charles, Eric Berry and DeSean Jackson, among others.
