FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots finally filled their special teams unit Thursday.
The Patriots signed long snapper Danny Aiken and linebacker/special-teamer Chris White, the team announced. The Patriots now have a full 53-man roster after waiving defensive tackles Kelcy Quarles and Bruce Gaston on Wednesday.
The Patriots also re-signed quarterback McLeod Bethel-Thompson to the practice squad. Bethel-Thompson had been released Wednesday.
The Patriots originally claimed Aiken in 2011 after the Buffalo Bills waived him. New England released Aiken during final roster cuts Aug. 30.
White signed with the Patriots in September 2013. He also had been released Aug. 31.
