Rich Eisen showed he’s the consummate professional Sunday.

The NFL Network anchor must have had an extremely emotional day. A day filled with NFL action started on a somber note as Eisen and the rest of the world learned that his former ESPN colleague Stuart Scott died after a lengthy bout with cancer. Eisen delivered the news in a poignant, emotional way during NFL Network’s pregame show.

The tributes, kind words and sympathies poured in throughout the day from all across the sports world, even including a statement from Barack Obama. Perhaps none of those tributes were as awesome as what Eisen did on NFL Network’s postgame show “NFL Gameday Final.”

As Eisen narrated the highlights from a game between the Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals, he inserted a handful of Scott’s catchphrases from his “SportsCenter” days.
